Laudium Cricket Academy

It has always been the dream of the
Laudium Cricket Academy was borne out of the process of cricket development supported by Laudium Cricket Club and more importantly the parents of the Community. Learners from different schools were engaged in a cricket development program spearheaded by Coach Mohamed Yousuf, one of the Junior Laudium Cricket Club Coaches, an ex-player for the Pretoria Military Sports Club 1st team and now a Qualified Umpire part of the Northerns Cricket Umpires Association (NCUA), Ashish Joshi - a former Pretoria club 1st Team player and member of Laudium Cricket and Waseem Carrim - an ex Northern Titans cricketer.

A need arose to nurture the abundance of untouched talent amongst youngsters.
These talented players are then developed and trained for the next phase of development, namely, playing cricket at a competitive level, from there 4 youngsters attended Regional Trials and two successfully represented the Northerns Cricket Union at a National week held in Durban in December 2015 at Under 11 Level.
Laudium Cricket Academy has an extensive social responsibility programme that includes taking players to matches at Supersport Park, Doing the Guard of Honor for the Players and helping the underprivileged.

Academy founders foresee the creation of a sports centre with Cricket as the primary focus for scholars as well as members of the community of Laudium and surrounding areas.
We see the role players as sharing a dynamic and motivated interest of every learner and community member at heart.
